CSIRO’s Privacy Statement for Luminaut (the App)

Your personal information is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and CSIRO will handle your information in accordance with this Act and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2023).

Your personal information is being collected by CSIRO for the purposes facilitating access to and use of the app.

The personal information collected may vary for different individuals. It may include your health information, which is sensitive information for the purposes of the Privacy Act. If you provide sensitive information, it will be taken that you consent to this collection.

The app is hosted by Appliquette on behalf of CSIRO on the Google Cloud Platform servers based in Australia. Your personal information may be incidentally disclosed to third parties including Appliquette or Google for the purposes outlined above; this includes disclosure overseas, and if this occurs your personal information may not be subject to the requirements and protections of the Australian Privacy Principles.

Please do not provide information about any other individual via the Luminaut app without their permission.
